Ibrahim Osman Adam is a Professor and the Dean of School of Business, University of Development Studies,Tamale Ghana. He is also an Associate Professor of Information Systems and a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana). Before joining academia, he worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the NGO sector. He has also provided consultancy services for several small businesses through the Skills Development Fund Ghana.
Dr. Osman is the co-founder of the Centre for ICT4D (Information and Communication Technology for Development) Research. His research interests are in digital technologies in business and innovation, with a focus on e-commerce, e-government, social media and other digital transformations. In 2023, Osman was awarded a $35,000 grant from the Google Award for Inclusion Research (AIR) program for his research project on ‘Integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in Ghanaian Higher Education for Advancing Computing Education’. His academic credentials include a PhD in Information Systems and double master’s degrees from LSE and Henley Business School, University of Reading.
